CONCEPT STORE  AT PIRAEUS

The design of this project had a clear and specific goal right from the beginning. Our client needed a space to host very unique handmade creations with influences from the past and pluralistic elements on them. Being an artist herself had a strong opinion and a clear view of what she would need in order to fulfill her dream of a concept store.

The design was based on a simple principal. Clear out all past layers or trims and coatings and reveille the primary form of the space. A large window revealed itself at the back of the store bringing plenty of natural light in. Then we created a unified shell with thin metallic structures to work as hangers and displayers. We incorporated authentic midcentury antique furniture and two oversized mirrors with an accent wall at the rear of the store to work as a background for every design story that will take in place there.

Lighting was a key to creating a theatre like experience for the clients while bringing all fabrics and accessories to light.

The façade was a tribute to classic French storefront design, where we incorporated a dark rich green color the same we used on the inside accent wall.

The upper level hosts the designer's atelier and workshop.
